History

Sriwijaya Air which operates with IATA code (SJ) and ICAO code (SJY) was first established in 2003. The airline runs under the management of PT Sriwijaya Air. Across the years, Sriwijaya Air aims to satisfy more customers through the services it offers. This airline began its operation on 10-11-2003. The first ever flight route was Jakarta (CGK) - Pangkal Pinang (PGK) using Boeing 737-200. The milestone that has been obtained by the airline is 53 routes in 31 August 2019,48 fleet in 31 August 2019.

Flight Attendant

Sriwijaya Air cabin crew wears a uniform in red, purple, white, black. For male flight attendants, they wear white shirt, black suit with black trousers. For female flight attendants, they wear red batik with V collar and orange list detail purple batik with V collar and green list detail with red batik skirt with orange list detail purple batik skirt with green list detail. The uniform itself represents Sriwijaya Air sense of purpose to create an excellent service to their passengers during the flight.

Baggage

Cabin Baggage

Passengers flying with Sriwijaya Air are allowed to bring one luggage and a laptop bag/handbag as a cabin baggage. The total weight of the items should be no more than 7kg, while the main cabin luggage should not be bigger than 56 x 33 x 23cm.

Checked Baggage

For the free checked baggage allowance, the airline has different allowance for the passengers (starting March 1st 2019). For Executive Class passengers, the allowance is 25kg. For Economy Class passengers, the baggage allowance is 15kg. As for passengers flying in ATR aircrafts, the free check in baggage allowance is 10kg.
