History

Iraqi Airways operating with IATA code (IA) and ICAO code (IAW) was established in 1945. The airline is managed by Iraqi Airways Company. Across the years, Iraqi Airways strives to satisfy their loyal customers through the services it offers. This airline was first flown on 28-01-1946. The first ever flight route was Baghdad (BGW) - Damascus (DAM) using De Havilland Dragon Rapides.

Iraqi Airways cabin crew wears a uniform that is dominated by basil green. For female flight attendants, they wear pistachio green shirt and basil green suit vest with basil green pants. This uniform was designed exquisitely, making the crew look more dashing.

Baggage

Introduction

Iraqi Airways (IA) is a full flight airline flying to domestic & international routes. The airline provides the passenger with a cabin baggage allowance of 10 kg and maximum dimension of 40 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm (L x W x H). The passengers flying international route with Iraqi Airways will get free checked baggage allowance of 25 kg. Passengers can start checking in at the airport 180 minutes prior to the departure time. There is no option to check in online with the airline.
