History

Lion Air which operates with IATA (JT) and ICAO (LNI) runs under the management of PT Lion Mentari Airlines. In 1999, this airline was founded. Throughout its journey, Lion Air always gives the best services for their passengers to become one of the promising airlines in the future. This airline began its operation on 30-06-2000. The first ever flight route was Jakarta (CGK) - Pontianak (PNK) using Boeing 737-200. The milestone that has been reached by the airline is In 2018, the airline has carried 318 milion passengers since 2005.

Lion Air (JT) is a low cost carrier airline operating domestic & international routes. The airline gives the passenger with a cabin baggage allowance of 7 kg and maximum dimension of 30 cm x 20 cm x 40 cm (L x W x H). The international route flight ticket fare includes checked baggage allowance of 20 kg while the domestic route ticket fare includes free checked baggage allowance of 15 kg. Passengers can start checking in at the airport 180 minutes prior to the departure time. Online check in is allowed for flights with the airline on Lion Air official website. It can be done 12 hours prior to scheduled departure time.
