Information Baggage of Air Seoul

Carry-on Baggage

1) Carry-on baggage refers to baggage that is not checked, but is rather transported in the cabin under the control and responsibility of the passenger.
2) Passengers are permitted one piece of carry-on baggage measuring no more than 115cm (A+B+C) and weighing less than 10kg (22lbs).

3) Notices

  1. Carry-on baggage and personal items may be transported in the cabin of the aircraft provided that passengers assume sole responsibility for their transported possessions.

  2. The following personal items may be carried on board in addition to carry-on baggage:
    Small briefcases, handbooks, laptops, books, and small duty-free goods
    Baby food for in-flight use
    Canes or crutches used by passengers with physical disabilities
    Guide dogs for the visually impaired
    Small, fully collapsible strollers (however, in cases in which cabin storage space is limited, strollers may be processed as checked baggage.)

  3. An extra seat must be purchased for the transport of the following items as carry-on baggage:
    Large musical instruments including cellos, gayageum, geomungo, and guitars, with total dimensions (length + width + and height) of 115cm or less (maximum of 55 cm in length, 40cm in width, and 20cm in height) can be safely transported as carry-on baggage with the purchase of an additional seat.
    Musical instruments transported as carry-on baggage with the purchase of an additional seat may not exceed 155cm in height.

Checked Baggage

Checked baggage regulations have been changed as of July 11, 2017. (1PC/23kg → 1PC/15kg, applicable to all routes except for America-bound flights.)

Checked Baggage (Relevant to tickets purchased after July 11, 2017)

  • Checked baggage allowance for those that have purchased flight tickets before July 11, 2017, is as follows

  • For those booking the tickets from July 11th to October 10, the customer may choose which rule to apply on themselves between the old and the new regulation (Grace period : July 11~October 10).

1) Checked baggage cannot exceed 203cm(A+B+C) in total dimensions and 15kg(33lbs) in weight.

2) Information on transfers to flights operated by other carriers
1) When transferring to a flight operated by another carrier, the other carrier may have different baggage allowance policies.
2) Baggage exceeding 203cm (length + width + height) may be refused as checked baggage.
3) Checked baggage may not exceed 32kg in weight; checked items weighing more than 32kg must be packaged separately.

Online Check-in

Online check-in is available through Air Seoul websites here

  • Online check-in is also available for tickets purchased through the Reservation Center or through a travel agency.
  • Online check-in is available 48 hours to 1 hour prior to departure, boarding pass printing is available only from Incheon Airport
  • For pre-paid seats, boarding passes may be issued after check-in.
  • Once online check-in has been completed, seat confirmation, changes, and boarding pass reissuance may be completed online.
  • However you can only print out your online boarding pass less than 1 hour left.
  • Online check-in is not available for group passengers of 10 or more or passengers using services requiring employee confirmation (as in UM, pet transportation, wheelchair services, pre-paid emergency seating, and/or other services). The aforementioned passengers must complete check-in at the airport check-in counter on the day of departure.
  • Services are not available for code-share flights operated by partner airlines.

Company Profile

Air Seoul Co., Ltd is a South Korean low-cost carrier, established on April 7, 2015 as a subsidiary of Asiana Airlines. The airline's business type is concerned ; Air transport, cargo transport, mail ordering, duty-free and specialty sales, tourism, in-flight meal manufacturing and sales, e-commerce, e-business, etc. The airline is based at Incheon International Airport in Seoul, from which it operates flights to eleven international destinations as of November 2016. It launched operations on 11 July 2016.
