Carry on Items
In addition to the checked baggage allowance, each passenger is allowed to hand carry one baggage at maximum:
length 56 cm (22 inches), width 45 cm (18 inches), thickness 25 cm (10 inches).
These dimensions include wheels, handles, and side pockets. Total weight of the carry-on baggage must not exceed 7 kg (15 lb).
Passengers are required to place the baggage in the overhead compartment or under their own seat.
Passengers can bring the following items free of charge :
- Handbag/wallet/purse with the maximum length 37.5 cm (15 inches), width 25 cm (10 inches), depth 12.5 cm (5 inches), or the total of three dimensions do not exceed 75 cm (30 inches) with the total weight not exceeding 1.5kgs(3.3lb). Notebooks or portable personal computers are also applied with this condition.
- Walking stick (crutches) used by elderly passengers, sick passengers, and handicapped passengers

Thai Smile Air History
On 20 May 2011, the Thai Airways board announced plans to create a new lower-cost airline, at the time dubbed Thai Wings. On 19 August 2011 The airline was announced by Ampon Kittiampon, the chairman of Thai's board of directors
Thai Airways were planned to begin operations in July 2012 intended to serve the market gap between low-cost carriers and full service airlines.
The name Thai Smile was chosen from a pool of 2,229 entries in a contest to name the airline. According to an official at Thai Airways International, Thai Smile is planned to begin showing an annual profit of about five million baht within two years of the start of operations.

Thai Smile is a brand-new subsidiary airline of THAI Airways which is operated under the management of Thai Smile Airways Company Limited. A brand positioning of Thai Smile is 'light premium'. Thai Smile has been officially launched since 7 July 2012 under the Business Unit of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI). On 17 October 2013, Thai Smile was entered in the commercial register under the name of Thai Smile Airways Company Limited. Thai Smile utilizes the new Airbus A320-200 Aircraft. By the end of 2014, Thai Smile will have a total of seventeen new aircrafts in its fleet and a total of twenty new aircrafts by the end of 2015.
