Baracca Backpacker

Surrounded by lush forests, Baracca Backpacker is located in Aurigeno, a peaceful traditional village in the heart of Ticino District. Barbecue facilities and a shared well-equipped kitchen are available. A 10-minute walk away is a river with a waterfall, suitable for swimming. Fitted with wood-panelled walls, all units feature bunk beds and heating in the cold months. Wooden furnishings add up to the Alpine style of the property. Shared bathrooms with shower can be found on the same floor. Each guest has their own drawer, which can be locked. A shared kitchen, where guests can prepare their meals, is available. Lying on the sofa and reading a book in the shared living room can be enjoyed after a hiking or biking tour. Information about the sites or the trails is provided at the reception desk. There are seating facilities in the garden, and a small art and natural products shop. The cities of Lago Maggiore, Locarno or Ascona can be reached within a 15-minute drive by car, while Ronchini Bus Stop is a 10-minute walk away, and Moghegno/Aurigeno Bus Stop is a 20-minute walk away. Next to the Baracca, there is a church with wall paintings dated back from 14th century.
