Located in the heart of Newcastle city centre, Surtees Hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from the city’s main train station. The bars, restaurants and attractions offered by the Quayside are just 0.2 miles away.
The en suite rooms at Surtees all have 28-inch plasma TVs, and guests have free Wi-Fi. With free tea and coffee, the rooms also have tiled bathrooms.
There is an intimate bar and lounge area near reception, which is open 24/7. Meeting and conference rooms are also available.
Guests can enjoy breakfast in The Gallery, the hotel’s spacious breakfast room. For evening meals, there is a selection of restaurants in the immediate area.
Newcastle’s main shops and clubs can be reached within 10 minutes’ walk. Guests can take a bus across the river to the famous Metrocentre shopping complex, and Grey’s Monument is a 2-minute walk away.

Group bookings (together or separately) of 3 rooms or more are subject to a 10% non-refundable deposit payable within 5 days of booking. This will be taken from the card used to secure the booking. A cancellation period of 1 month prior to arrival will apply, any cancellations after this time will be charged the full cost of the booking for every room cancelled. Group bookings will be sent a separate contract and room list to fill out via email before arrival. A GBP 50 damages deposit will be requested from each person upon check in.
