Nestled amidst forest and lake bordering the national park and close to the quieter Katagamuwa gate, Leopard Trails tented camp allows guests to experience the wilderness in comfortable air conditioned deluxe tents or in larger suites with plunge pools. Expert naturalists lead shared game drives, nature walks, give an introduction to stargazing, and also host guests for drinks around the campfire, before dining by candlelight!
An approximate 4 hours’ drive from the Colombo city and the Bandaranaike International Airport, Leopard Trails is situated in the perfect location which is easily accessible from any point even from the Mattala Rajapakse International Airport just being 1 hr away from the camp.
The spacious tents are all air conditioned with private bathroom facilities and seating area for each tent. Besides safari drives, guests can enjoy games and activities arranged by the property or relax in the lounge area with a cocktail or fine wine from the fully stocked bar.
We have two types of tents at Leopard Trails Yala camp: The Leopard Trails Suites and Deluxe Tents.

Children up to and including 3 years old stay for free when using an available cot.
Children from 1 year old to 5 years old stay for US$90 per person per night when using an available extra bed.
Children from 6 years old to 11 years old stay for US$275 per person per night when using an available extra bed.
Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.
Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.

This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
Please note:
Guests should pack safari attire that blends in with the natural surroundings – green, beige, khaki and tan colours are recommended. Please refrain from wearing white or bright coloured clothing while you are at camp.
Closed shoes are also recommended while on safari and walking around camp, and flip flops for the outdoor showers. A dust mask or scarf is also handy.
Leopard Trails is a mobile camp set-up deep in the jungle, and in preparation for each trip, non-refundable costs such as camp-site booking fees, camp set-up costs, itinerary preparation, staff costs, and other administrative costs are incurred.
