Situated in Faido in the Leventina Valley, the Ostello is a former monastery school next to the Capuchin Monastery from 1608. It offers free Wi-Fi access. Local dishes and products such as cheese, wine and meat can be arranged. Guests can relax in the garden and in the TV room. A shared kitchen can be used. The chapel can be visited on request. Free private parking is available at Ostello dei Cappuccini, and a football ground is close by. Bicycles and motorbikes can be parked in the garage. Several hiking trails start right outside the property. It is a 15-minute drive to the bouldering centre at Chironico and Freggio. The Airolo Ski Area is 17 km away, and the Cari Ski Area is 10 km away. As of January 2017 guests will be able to use all public transport free of charge as well as being granted special rates for various leisure activities during their stay in the southern canton. You are given the “Ticino Ticket” upon arrival and it is valid until the end of your day of departure.
