Batik Air Baggage Information
Passengers are allowed to have 1 (one) carry on luggage with a maximum of weight 7 (seven) kg, and maximum dimension of 40 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm. A bag of personal items that may include fully collapsible wheelchair, crutches, and braces for passenger who is dependent upon them are also allowed in the cabin. As for excess baggage fee, Batik Air does not currently have a fixed rate.
For passengers who are taking toddlers and infants, they can also bring enough meals for the duration of the flight, and a baby carrier.

Effective 5 Dec 2018, Batik Air will move its operational (departure and arrival) from Terminal 1C toTerminal 2E Soekarno Hatta International Airport.
Reporting and Closing Time to Check-in
For Indonesia Domestic Flights, reporting time check-in starts 2 hours prior to departure and check-in counters close 60 minutes before departure time for all classes of passengers.
For International Flights, reporting time for check-in starts 2 hours prior to departure and check-in counter close 60 minutes before departure time for all classes of passengers.
- For Indonesia domestic flights, passenger should check in starting 2-hours prior to departure. Check-in counters will close 60 minutes before departure time both for economy and business classes.
- For International flights, the check-in counters are open 2 hours prior to departure, but the counter will close 60 minutes for all passengers.
This is an option for passengers who do not have much time to go to the airport, since it allows you to simply login to Batik Air’s website here and put in the last name of the passenger. Passengers can check in through the web from 24 (twenty four) to 4 (four) hours before the departure time.
There will be an option whether to print the boarding pass, or store it as a pdf file at the end of the process.
- Not much difference from web-check in, this method also allows passenger to check-in from their gadget. To do this, passengers should download the mobile application for Batik Air either in the Apple Store, or Play Store.
Pregnant women cannot board the plane unless they sign a form of Indemnity, and can show a medical certificate showing that they are fit for the trip. Same thing is applied for infants aged 3-7 days - they have to bring a medical certificate. Women whose pregnancy is older than 35 weeks and infants under 2 days old are not allowed in the flight.

Since Batik Air will not take responsibility if there are any delays caused by matters not under their control, passengers who plan for connecting flights have to make sure that they have sufficient time in between the flights. As for cancellation, the passenger has to directly call the customer service.

Batik Air is an Indonesian airline which commenced its first commercial flight on 3 May 2013 flying from Jakarta at 10am local time to Manado at 02.00pm local time. As of January 2014, Batik Air has operated six Boeing 737-900ERs and served routes to: Jakarta, Denpasar, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Balikpapan, Manado, Pekanbaru, Ambon and Jayapura.

As one of Lion Air’s child company, the owner of Batik Air is also Rudi Kirana. It was created as a full-service airline which began operating in May 2013. The IATA and ICAO code for this airline company is ID and BTK respectively. Batik Air’s fleet is composed of 46 airplanes, some of which are Airbus A320 and others Boeing 737-800/900 with around 200 flights per day serving both domestic and international airports in 44 destinations.
Their head office is located in Jakarta, at the Lion Air Tower, West Jakarta. However, they also have representative offices all over Indonesia including in the International Airport Ngurah Rai Bali and 61 Stamford Road in Singapore. In all the flights with Batik Air, it provides personal television and in-flight entertainment system for every passenger. Light snacks and free meals add to the comfort, with 32 inches of seat pitches for the Economy class and 45 inches for the business class.
Although at first the fleet was only composed of Boeing 737-800/900ER, right now Batik Air has 41 Airbus A320-200 and is in the process of acquiring more airplanes from both the A320NEO and A321 series.

The uniform for Batik Air flight attendants is a set of white kebaya top and a straight long skirt. True to its name, the skirt is covered in a fabric and pattern called batik.
Batik Air currently has 55 working aircrafts in their fleet, and 188 more aircraft ordered from both Boeing and Airbus.
