Set in a magnificent former coaching inn, Royal Oak Hotel is surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia National Park. With free parking and traditional rooms, the property is located along the historic A5 route from Holyhead to London The individual rooms boast scenic views and luxury modern bathrooms with free toiletries. Some have ornate four-poster or sleigh beds. All rooms have Wi-Fi access and TVs with over 50 Freeview channels. The Grill Room at the Royal Oak serves delicious modern dishes giving preference to local products. From Friday through Sunday the guests can enjoy the Grill Room cuisine in the windows of the Llugwy River Restaurant. With a picturesque village location in Betws-y-Coed, The Royal Oak Hotel is at the gateway to Snowdonia. Due to the historical nature of the hotel, we do not have a lift. It is stairs only to the first and second floor where the main hotel rooms are all situated. The Stables Lodge accommodation located in the annex to the main building has a lift. Also, we do not allow dog's in our accommodation.

We serve a full welsh breakfast, this is served in two time slots one at 8.00am & the other at 9.00am please contact us directly for your preferred time slot. Please note we cannot guarantee your preferred time slot during busy periods. We also offer a continental breakfast option or hot breakfast baguettes served to guest rooms between 7.00am & 9.00am. The village has several pubs and restaurants within a short walk of the guest house. Church Hill House caters to the needs of the many walkers and mountain bikers who come to explore this beautiful area. Bike storage, drying facilities and packed lunches can all be provided, with plenty of guide books to consult in the relaxing lounge.

Some have views across the River Conwy and the hills beyond. Breakfast is served every morning in the garden room, and is prepared with fresh local ingredients. A special feature of The Courthouse is the beautiful garden beside the River Conwy where guests can relax and unwind. Clothes dying and bike storage facilities are also available. The centre of Betws-y-Coed is just 3 minutes' walk from the Courthouse. and the Betws-y-Coed Railway Station is just 50 metres from the property's car park. There are some lovely walks from the village and the mountains of Snowdonia, with Snowdon itself just 15 minute's drive away. The spectacular Swallow Falls is just 2 miles away, whilst Conwy and Caernarfon castles are both within 15 miles. The coast can be reached in 30 minutes by car.
