Xiamen Air Company Profile

The first airline operated in the course of modern enterprise in China, Xiamen Airlines Co. Ltd was established on 25th July, 1984 jointly by Civil Aviation Administration of China and Fujian Provincial Government. The shareholders of Xiamen Airlines are China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd., Xiamen C & D Corporation Limited and Jizhong Energy Resources Co., Ltd. with 51%, 34% and 15% shares respectively. Xiamen Air Check-In

Currently the online check-in service is unavailable for the following passengers:

  1. Passengers requiring special services
    1.1 VIP passengers
    1.2 Children. – Passengers aged 12 years old or younger
    1.3 Pregnant women
    1.4 Diseased and disabled passengers
    1.5 Infants
    1.6 Senior passengers
    1.7 Overweight passengers
    1.8 Criminal suspects (including inmates) and their escorts
    1.9 Passengers requiring medical clearance

  2. Passengers who reserve seats with teaching certificates, student ID cards or veterans certificates of disability;

  3. Passengers with international flight tickets

  4. Passengers having E-tickets without definite flight number and seat number (i.e. open tickets)

  5. Passengers with paper tickets

• If you don’t have any check-in baggage, please arrive at the airport no later than 45 minutes before the published departure time of the flight. The boarding gate will be closed 15 minutes prior to the takeoff of the flight.

• For the safety of yourself and other passengers, please do not check items not allowed to be carried, such as knives, tools, alcoholic drinks (each passenger is allowed to carry no more than two bottles not exceeding 1 kg). Valuables, travel documents, fragile, explosive, corrosive items and other dangerous items are not allowed to be

Carried in the baggage.

• Baggage with the dimensions exceeding 20cm40cm55cm or the weight exceeding 5 kg must be checked. Online check-in service excludes baggage check-in. If you have baggage to be checked in, please make sure you arrive at the airport 45 minutes before the takeoff of the flight to check the baggage at the designated counter.

• Passengers should strictly follow the regulations of governmental authorities on the valid ID documents required for boarding civil aviation flights and ensure the legitimacy and validity of their ID documents. Any consequence arising from name mismatching or invalid ID documents shall be borne by the passengers.

• Due to changes to the airport operation schedule, the boarding gates for partial flights may be temporarily changed. After arriving at the airport, please timely check the updated information on the boarding gate for your flight.

• In case of temporary change of aircraft type, we will rearrange a seat for you.

• If you have checked in online but wish to cancel your flight plan due to special reasons, you shall cancel your check-in operation before the deadline for local online check-in service. You shall contact the local online check-in service supplier provided by Xiamen Airlines no later than 60 minutes before the takeoff of the flight to cancel your check-in operation; otherwise you shall assume the liability for missing the flight.

• Regulations for the carriage of pregnant women

1.Except for those who are diagnosed by doctors to be unsuitable for carriage, women who are no more than 32 weeks pregnant may be carried as regular passengers.

2.Women who are more than 32 weeks pregnant shall provide a certificate of diagnosis signed by the doctor of the healthcare provider and must check in at the counter designated by Xiamen Airlines;

3.Women who are more than 36 weeks pregnant are generally prohibited from carriage.

• Regulations for the carriage of diseased and disabled passengers:Diseased and disabled passengers must
check in at the counter designated by Xiamen Airlines.

  1. Scope
    1.1 Physical diseases
    1.2 Mental diseases
    1.3 Bodily injury and physical disability
    1.4 Seniors who are physically healthy but require assistance from others during the air trip.
    1.5 Diseased and disabled passengers shall submit the "Certificate of Diagnosis” issued by the healthcare provider for examination, complete the “Special Passenger Carriage Request” in quintuplicate and are verified to meet the carriage criteria in order to be accepted for check-in. A passenger requiring medical oxygen also should bring a medical clearance signed by a qualified doctor indicating that it’s medically necessary for the passenger to use such device and specifying the required maximum oxygen demand and maximum oxygen flow rate per hour at the pressure and latitude corresponding to the pressure inside the cabin under normal flight conditions.

• In accordance with the provisions in Article 101 of the Civil Aviation Law of the People's Republic of China, “The consigning of dangerous goods for shipment under the name of non-dangerous goods is prohibited. Passengers carrying dangerous goods on their persons are prohibited from flying in a civil aircraft. Passengers bringing firearms or controlled knives are prohibited from flying in a civil aircraft unless they are performing official duties and approved in accordance with State regulations. The consigning of dangerous goods as baggage for shipment against the provisions stipulated by the competent civil aviation authority under the State Council is prohibited.” Any person who conceals and brings dangerous goods aboard while flying in a civil aircraft, shall be investigated for his or her criminal responsibility under the provisions of Criminal Law in case consequences result from such act.

a. The following dangerous goods shall not be included in passengers’ checked baggage or carry-on baggage:

1) Explosives, including ammunition, blasting supplies and fireworks (excluding small arms ammunition used for sporting events and previously authorized by the carriers);

2) Gases, including hydrogen, oxygen, butane and other bottled compressed gases and liquefied gases;

3) Flammable liquids, such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, benzene, ethanol (alcohol), paint and rosin oil;

4) Flammable solids, substances prone to spontaneous combustion and substances releasing flammable gas when wet, such as matches, flashlight powder, solid alcohol, celluloid, and other flammable solids; yellow or white phosphorous, nitrocellulose (including film), oilpaper and its products, and other articles prone to spontaneous combustion; metallic sodium, potassium, calcium carbide (acetylide), Mg-Al powder, and other articles releasing flammable gas when wet;

5) Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides, including sodium dioxide, potassium peroxide, lead peroxide, acetyl hydro peroxide, and other inorganic and organic oxidants;

6) Toxic and infectious substances, including cyanide, highly toxic pesticides, and other toxic articles;

7) Radioactive materials, such as radioisotopes, and other radioactive particles;

8) Corrosives, including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, liquid storage batteries, sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide;

9) Other articles hazarding flight safety as specified in ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, such as strong magnetic material possibly interfering the normal working of aircraft instruments and substances with strong irritant odors;

10) Other articles that are not permitted to be carried or transported as stipulated by Chinese laws and regulations.

b. Transportation provisions for lithium batteries in passengers' baggage:
For lithium batteries with no more than 2 grams of lithium content and lithium-ion batteries with no more than 100 Watt Hours of rated power, the reasonable number of batteries that would be needed by the device if used during flight shall constitute a standard to measure the number of spare batteries allowed; for large lithium-ion batteries with 100~160 Watt Hours of rated power, approved by the air carriers, the number of spare batteries carried by each passenger shall not exceed 2 pieces. Devices containing lithium batteries can be placed in checked baggage or carry-on baggage; spare lithium batteries can be placed in
carry-on baggage only.

• Operating Conditions for Lithium Batteries in Passengers’ Baggage

1) Scope
All passengers’ electronic devices for personal use (such as watches, calculators, cameras, mobile phones, laptop computers, camcorders, etc.) and spare batteries, including lithium batteries, may be placed in baggage and taken onto the aircraft.
Note: Lithium batteries include lithium-ion batteries (a lithium polymer battery is one kind of lithium-ion battery) and lithium batteries (a lithium alloy battery is one kind of lithium battery).

2) Content restrictions
The following requirements on the lithium content and rated power shall be satisfied by all spare batteries or batteries in all devices transported as baggage:
a) The lithium content of one lithium or lithium alloy battery shall be not more than 2 grams;
b) The rated power of lithium-ion batteries shall be not more than 100 Watt Hours;
c) Approved by the air carriers, the rated power of large lithium-ion batteries may be more than 100 Watt Hours but shall not exceed 160 Watt Hours.

3) Protection measures
a) Necessary protection measures shall be taken for each spare battery to prevent short circuits, including placing spare batteries in the original retail packaging or insulating the electrodes, by protecting the exposed electrodes with adhesive tape or placing each battery into individual plastic bags or protective bags.
b) Devices with batteries shall be designed to prevent accidental activation.

4) Number of spare batteries
a) For lithium batteries with no more than 2 grams of lithium content and lithium-ion batteries with no more than 100 Watt Hours of rated power, the number of batteries that is reasonably needed by the device during the flight shall constitute a standard to measure the number of spare batteries carried;
b) For large lithium-ion batteries with 100~160 Watt Hours of rated power, approved by the air carriers, the number of spare batteries carried by each passenger shall not exceed 2 pieces.

5) Types of baggage
Devices containing lithium batteries can be placed in checked baggage or carry-on baggage; spare lithium batteries can be placed in carry-on baggage only.

Baggage Rules

Carry-on Baggage
Domestic flights :
a) Each First-Class passenger is allowed to carry on up to two pieces of luggage;
b) Each passenger in other classes is allowed to carry no more than one piece of luggage on board;
c) Each piece of luggage carried into the cabin shall not exceed the maximum weight of 5 kilograms and the maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 centimeters. Baggage exceeding the above allowance for weight, number of pieces or size must be checked.

International/regional flights:
The free baggage allowance is 2 carry-on items for each First Class passenger with the weight of each piece not exceeding 5kg(11lbs), and 1 carry-on item for each Business Class or Economy Class passenger with the weight not exceeding 5kg(11lbs). Each piece of baggage carried into the cabin must not exceed 55 x 35 x 25 cm / 21.5 x 13.5 x10 in size. Carry-on items exceeding these weight, piece or size limits must be checked as checked baggage.

Volume, weight restrictions of checked baggage
Domestic flights :
a) All checked baggage shall be properly packaged, locked, firmly tied, capable of sustaining the changes in air pressure and handling required for transport under normal conditions, and must conform with the following requirements:
1).Suitcases, bags and handbags shall be safely locked;
2).More than two pieces shall not be tied together as one piece;
3).Other items shall not be attached to the baggage;
4).Baskets, net bags, ropes, straw bags and plastic bags shall not be used to wrap baggage;
5).The passenger’s name, full address and telephone number should be marked on the outside of the baggage to facilitate contact.
b) For each checked bag, the maximum weight shall not exceed 50 kilograms and the maximum dimensions shall not exceed 100 x 60 x 40 centimeters. Items exceeding these allowances may be checked only if they are approved for carriage by Xiamen Airlines.

International/regional flights:
1. The passenger shall mark his/her name and destination to the baggage prior to acceptance.
2. Upon delivery to Xiamen Airlines of baggage to be checked, Xiamen Airlines shall take custody thereof and issue a baggage identification tag for each piece of checked baggage.
3. Xiamen Airlines shall enter the pieces and weight of any checked baggage in the proper column on the Passenger Ticket and Baggage Check.
4. Checked baggage will be carried on the same aircraft as the passenger unless Xiamen Airlines decides that this is impracticable, in which case Xiamen Airlines will carry the checked baggage on Xiamen Airlines next flight on which space is available.
5. For international and regional flights of Xiamen Airlines excluding flights operating to or from the United States, each piece of checked baggage shall not exceed 32 kilograms. For flights operating to or from the United States, each piece of checked baggage shall not exceed 45 kilograms. Total dimensions (length width height) of each piece shall not exceed 300 cm. If a passenger wants to check a piece of baggage beyond 32 kilograms and up to 45 kilograms in weight and beyond 203 cm and up to 300 cm in total dimensions, he/she shall consult with Xiamen Airlines ticket issuance office, fill in an application form and obtain consent from Xiamen Airlines in advance.

Free Baggage Allowance
Domestic flights :
Passengers( adults or children )are entitled to the free baggage allowance as follows: 40 kg for first class, 30 kg for business class and 20 kg for economy class. There is no free baggage allowance for infants traveling with Infant Fare tickets

International/regional Flights:
1) Free baggage allowance based on the piece concept for flights between China and Europe/ Korea/Southeast Asia, and between Chinese mainland and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan Except as otherwise provided in Xiamen Airlines Regulations, the free baggage allowance for each passenger will be limited as follows:
a) Free allowance for adults
A passenger paying applicable first class fare is entitled to a free baggage allowance of 3 pieces; the weight of each piece shall not exceed 32 kilograms. A passenger paying applicable business class fare is entitled to a free baggage allowance of 2 pieces; the weight of each piece shall not exceed 32 kilograms. A passenger paying applicable economy class fare is entitled to a free baggage allowance of 1 piece; the weight shall not exceed 23 kilograms. Total dimensions (length width height) of any piece in the above free baggage allowance shall not be more than 158cm;
b) Free allowance for children/infants
Children and infants paying the children’s fare are entitled to the same free baggage allowance as adult passengers. Infants paying 10% of the applicable fare are entitled to 1 piece, of which the weight shall not exceed 10 kilograms and total dimensions shall not exceed 115cm, plus one fully collapsible stroller or pushchair.

2) Free baggage allowance based on the piece concept for flights between China and Australia/ Canada/United States/Japan
Except as otherwise provided in Xiamen Airlines Regulations, the free baggage allowance for each passenger will be limited as follows:
a) Free allowance for adults
A passenger paying applicable first class fare is entitled to a free baggage allowance of 3 pieces; the weight of each piece shall not exceed 32 kilograms. A passenger paying applicable business class fare is entitled to a free baggage allowance of 2 pieces; the weight of each piece shall not exceed 32 kilograms. A passenger paying applicable economy class fare is entitled to a free baggage allowance of 2 pieces; the weight of each piece shall not exceed 23 kilograms. Total dimensions (length width height) of any piece in the above free baggage allowance shall not be more than 158cm;
b) Free allowance for children/infants
Children and infants paying the children’s fare are entitled to the same free baggage allowance as adult passengers. Infants paying 10% of the applicable fare are entitled to 1 piece, of which the weight shall not exceed 10 kilograms and total dimensions shall not exceed 115cm, plus one fully collapsible stroller or pushchair.

Xiamen Air Term and Condition

I. General Rules:
1. These conditions only apply to shoulder and low season discount flight tickets for individual passengers with different classes of service listed in the table above. Group passengers, special tourism products and some special hot air routes during summer vacation, Spring Festival period are subject to other terms and conditions.
2. The air ticket agency shall strictly follow the rules of the fares with different classes of service and it is not permitted to sell high class at low fare. If any violation is found out, the air ticket agency shall make up for the fare difference between two classes of service and will be punished pursuant to applicable regulations.
3. For involuntary change/refund, the business seal and description of the flight irregularity provided by the authorized ground service agent or the verification of flight irregularity information from Xiamen Airlines’ local direct sales office (or 95557) are required. And passengers shall submit such voucher to complete the involuntary change/refund. If there is any violation occurred, the violator will be punished pursuant to applicable regulations.
4. For tickets on which penalties or service charges may apply, the air ticket agency shall charge the relevant fees according to the Refund and Change Service Fees Chart or EMD.
5. The change service fees and refund service fees listed in the table above are calculated on the basis of the full fares for corresponding classes of service (F/J/Y) and the amount is rounded up and expressed in CNY.
6. Any request on ticket change, refund and endorsement shall be made within the validity period of the ticket.
7. The scheduled departure time refers to the departure time of the flight displayed on the E-ticket itinerary. The service fees for change and refund listed in the table above are based on the time of seat cancellation.
8. Person requesting refund shall surrender to Xiamen Airlines a valid ID document of the passenger whose name appears on the ticket. If the person to whom the refund will be made is not the one named on the ticket, then the valid ID documents of the passenger listed on ticket and the person who will be refunded to shall be both presented. In case of dialing 95557 for voluntarily changing tickets or cancelling reservations, the dialing number should be the reserved Tel number in the “Passenger Name Record”. Besides, it’s highly appreciated to cooperate with us and check names of passengers, ID numbers, routings and date of journey during the conversation.
9. Refund of paper tickets may be made only after presenting all unused flight coupons and passenger coupons. If an itinerary has been printed, refund of E-tickets may be made only after retrieving such itinerary.
10. A passenger who voluntarily terminates his or her trip at a stopover of the flight shall not require Xiamen Airlines to further provide the carriage from the stopover to the destination. And requesting for ticket change or refund is not permitted,all such E-tickets will be made invalid.
11. Different classes of service on discounted round-trip and interline tickets may be used in combination and the applicable terms for each segment are subject to that of corresponding classes of service.
12. Whereas the requirement of civil aviation security of CAAC, each flight can occupy a restrictive number of infants. Please apply for infant ticket ahead of time. Provided that the unaccountable and eagerly purchase of infant ticket at airport ticket counter, hereby the infant carriage might be deemed to refuse and the accompanied passengers’ tickets shall be operated in accordance with the regulations specified in “voluntary change” or “voluntary refund”.
13. An infant shall not occupy a seat. If an infant needs to occupy a seat, a ticket with applicable fare for child shall be purchased. If a passenger carries more than one infant at the same time, the child fare will be charged for the other infants. It’s not allowed to carry infants alone by passengers under 18 years old except for their own infants.
14. Children must be booked on the same physical space with at least one adult. Children are not allowed to buy tickets in economy class, business class or first class of service alone. Regardless of specified booking class or other discount booking class, “CHD” shall be marked behind the passenger name on the tickets for children so that the children could be eligible for the exemption from fuel surcharge and airport tax. In case of refund or change of a child ticket, the service fee is subject to the rules of adult tickets applicable to the corresponding classes of service.
15. Passengers like unaccompanied minors, VIPs, persons who need wheels or stretchers, persons who are restricted for carriage can only purchase tickets at Xiamen Airlines’ designated direct sales offices or authorized air ticket agencies. Acceptance for carriage of foresaid passengers is subject to prior consent and arrangement with Xiamen Airlines and other carriers in accordance with regulations of Xiamen Airlines and other carriers. If the request for special assistance was put forward by the passenger after purchasing the ticket, Xiamen Airlines may refuse the carriage and will proceed in accordance with the regulations specified in “voluntary refund”.
16. Limited carriage passengers with special needs are not allowed to use award member scores or miles to redeem free tickets. For unaccompanied minors, only tickets in classes of FCH/JCH/YCH can be purchased at half of the full fare with classes F/J/Y. Stretcher passengers to whom special products or other discount fares are not applicable should purchase three tickets with full fare in classes F/J/Y while the airport tax and fuel surcharge are only charged once.
17. Fares whose matching classes are not listed in the table above are subject to the rules of their corresponding classes of service. If there is no specific regulation, the rules of the classes of service listed herein which bear the same actual fare as what described above shall apply. If the actual fare falls between two adjacent fare levels listed herein, the rules of the higher-level fares apply; if the actual fare is lower than the lowest fare level listed herein, the rules of the lowest fares apply.

II. Further information:
(I) Space reservation and ticket issuance
1. Reservation: Classes listed in the table above are categorized as reservation acceptable and unacceptable which are based on the specific information in the booking system.
2. Time limit for ticket issuance depends on the information specified in the booking system. A reservation would be cancelled if the ticket was not issued by the time fixed by Xiamen Airlines.
3. Open tickets: means tickets without indicating the specific flight and date of travel. Subject to applicable rules for classes of service listed in the table above. For open tickets, a reservation shall be made for the outbound flight and for non-open tickets, the reservation shall be made for both outbound and inbound flights.

(II) Fares
1. Fare refers to the actual amount listed on the ticket, excluding taxes and charges such as airport tax and fuel surcharge.
2. Fares for different classes of service listed on the ticket should be the actual amount paid by the passenger which is rounded up to the second decimal place and expressed in CNY

(III) Ticket issuance
1. The fare basis shall be inputted according to the requirements published in the booking system.
2. If the ticket is subject to any restrictions, the “Remark (EI)” field of the ticket shall be marked with relevant restrictions such as “Non-endorsable/changeable/refundable”.
3. For interline or round-trip tickets with combination of different classes of service, the stricter restrictions of lower class shall be filled in the “Remark” field of the ticket according to the "Refund/endorsement” regulations.

(IV) Period of Validity
1. Validity means the period of time for which passenger ticket is valid for. Unless otherwise specified, a ticket is valid for carriage for one year from the date of commencement of travel, or if no portion of the ticket has been used, from the date of issuance of the ticket.
2. The validity of a ticket begins from midnight on the date of commencement of travel or the date of issue, until midnight on the date of expiration.

(V) Ticket change
1. Voluntary changes are only limited to changes of flights, dates of travel and classes of service under the circumstances of the same routing. Changing carrier (Endorsement) is subjected to the specifications more hereof later.
2. In case of voluntary changes, if there is no change in the booking class, the change may be made on condition that there is a seat available in the same booking class on a flight in the same route.
3. In case of voluntary class upgrade, a service fee and the fare difference between the original class and the new class will be charged.
4. In case of voluntary class degrade, the ticket in the original booking class is refunded. A refund service fee is charged and a new ticket shall be purchased.
5. In case of issuance of a new ticket due to class upgrade, the “Remark (EI)” field of the new ticket shall be filled with the original booking class in the format of “Original Class XX”, except for class upgrade by using OI command in booking system. Before the reservation is cancelled and refund is made for the original ticket, the “Passenger Name” field of the electronic refund sheet shall be filled with the new ticket number (in the format of SC+ new ticket number and any Chinese characters can not be used). The original ticket is subject to a change service fee but is exempted from the refund service fee.
6. If class change is requested again after one voluntary change, the regulations of the revised class shall apply. A change fee will be charged for the original ticket while refund service fee will be exempted.
7. In case of voluntary ticket change,if there exists published fare adjustment, we shall look upon the real-time fare display and shall not return for the overcharge but demand payment for the fare shortage. As for the change fee, the regulations of the revised class shall apply.
8. Involuntary change is subject to Xiamen Airlines General Conditions of Domestic Carriage for Passengers and Baggage.

(VI) Voluntary refund
1. In case of refund of a ticket which has been changed on flight/dates voluntarily, a refund service fee is charged according to the rules of corresponding classes based on the dates shown on the changed ticket .And the change service fee which has been collected before refund is not refundable.
2. In case of refund of a ticket which has been changed on class of service (upgrade), for the tickets which was upgraded by using OI command, refund service fee shall be charged according to the rules of the class of service shown on the ticket before the last change. The difference collected by the last upgrade shall be totally refunded. In case of refund of a ticket which has been reissued, the refund service fee shall be charged according to the rules of the original class of service indicated on the “EI” field of the new ticket. The change service fee collected before the refund is not refundable.
3. Application for refund should be made within 30 days after expiration date of the ticket. Otherwise the ticket fare, airport tax and fuel surcharge are not refundable.
4. In case of refund of an open ticket, a refund service fee is charged according to the rules of the case that refund requesting 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time displayed on the E-tickets with the corresponding classes of service.
5. Refund request by reason of illness:
(1) Refund service fee will not be charged under the following circumstances: request is made and the seat is canceled 2 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight displayed on the E-tickets; a medical certificate which proofs the passenger unfit for traveling , a medical record and a payment record (issued before the scheduled departure time displayed on the E-tickets and the amount need to be more than CNY100 ) issued by qualified hospital should be submitted; all the documents listed above should be presented with the original versions and copy versions should be submitted when refund is made; and also all these documents shall be checked and verified by Xiamen Airlines.
(2) For the other passengers traveling with the incapacitated passenger, their seats should be cancelled and the refund shall be made at the same time. When the number of the accompanied passengers was not more than 2 persons (included), refund service fee will not be charged. On the opposite, the refund service fee will not be exempted from and will be charged according to the rules of the corresponding classes of service. If the passengers traveling together did not cancel the seat and make the refund at the same time with the incapacitated passenger, the refund service fee will be charged according to the rules of the corresponding classes of service no matter what the accompanied passenger number is.
(3) Neither the incapacitated passenger or the accompanied passengers will be exempted from the refund service fee under the following circumstances: the incapacitated passenger cancelled the seat or made the refund 2 hours (included) after the scheduled departure time displayed on the E-tickets or after the plane took off; or the documents provided could not meet the requirements of Xiamen Airlines. And the refund service fee will be charged according to the rules of the corresponding classes of service.

(VII) Involuntary refund
1.The Xiamen Airlines General Conditions of Domestic Carriage for Passengers and Baggage shall apply.
2. Refund at the original place: A full refund is made.
3. Refund at the stopover or alternative airport: The amount of refund shall be enough to ensure that the passenger can travel onward and reach the destination, but shall not exceed the original amount of fare the passenger has paid. The civil aviation development fund and fuel surcharge are not refundable.
4. Refund of discount interline and round trip tickets of which a portion has been used: the amount of the refund will be the difference between the amount of fare paid and the amount of fare for the transportation used.
5. Involuntary ticket refund is permitted at the original ticketing office, the point of departure, the stopover, alternate or the destination where the authorized ground service agents, authorized sales agents or Xiamen Airlines’ local direct selling offices located.

(VIII) Ticket loss
1. Ticket loss only applies to paper tickets.
2. The Xiamen Airlines General Conditions of Domestic Carriage for Passengers and Baggage shall apply.

(IX) Endorsement
1. An endorsement only could be made for the tickets bearing the same fares, class of service and class code between two carriers. If there was no available space with the same class of service on the flights of other carrier, a voluntary refund is made and a new ticket of other carrier is purchased. In case that between Xiamen Airlines and the other carrier to which the passenger will be endorsed, the class of service is the same but the fare is different:
A) If the fare of Xiamen Airlines is lower than the other carrier, the difference of the fare will be collected before the endorsement is made.
B) If the fare of Xiamen Airlines is higher than the other carrier, the difference of the fare is not refundable or, a voluntary refund is made and a new ticket of other carrier is purchased.
2. An endorsement request for endorsable ticket shall be made at least 24 hours (included) prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight displayed on the E-tickets. If the request is made within 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time displayed on the E-tickets or after the plane took off, a change service fee is charged according to the rule of voluntary change made after taking off with the corresponding class of service.
3. If a passenger made a voluntary endorsement request for a non-endorsable ticket, a voluntary refund shall be made according to the rules of corresponding classes of service.

Xiamen Airlines reserves the right to the final interpretation of these applicable conditions.
