Cabin baggage/Unchecked Baggage
All passenger of AirAsia Japan (DJ) except infant, may carry on board the maximum of two (2) pieces of cabin baggage and must not weigh more than seven (7) kg in total.
Cabin bag shall not exceed the dimensions of 56cm (height)X 36cm (length) X 23cm (depth) and another piece of personal item (mnust not exceed 40cm (height) x 30cm (lenght) x 10cm (depth). The total weight of both items must not exceed 7kg and must fit under the seat in front of such Passenger or must be able to fit in the overhead compartment in the cabin, and the rest of Unchecked Baggage must be chosen from any one of laptop bag, handbag and any other small bag.
Checked Baggage
Passenger shall pay Baggage Fee for Carriage of Checked Baggage and available for pre-book baggage. Passenger checking in Baggage exceeding the amount purchased at time of booking will be charged on a per kg basis at check-in counters. Unless otherwise provided in Applicable Laws, etc, or these Terms and Conditions, the Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Notwithstanding the foregoing, baby buggies, prams, manual wheelchairs, mobility devices and walking frames are carried free of charge provided these items are used by Passenger in the course of travelling.
For safety reasons, AirAsia will not accept any individual item exceeding thirty-two (32) kg and with combined dimensions of more than eighty-one (81) cm height, one hundred nineteen (119) cm wide and one hundred nineteen (119) cm depth. This weight limit does not apply to baby buggies, prams, manual wheelchairs, mobility devices and walking frames.
Sporting equipment may be carried in the hold of the aircraft upon payment of the Fee set out in the Fee Schedule. Passenger is advised to purchase insurance for such equipment.

- Counter Check-in
Check-in counter of AirAsia Japan are open three (3) hours before the scheduled flight departure time for international flights and two (2) hours before the scheduled flight departure time for domestic flights.
The counter close sixty (60) minutes before the scheduled flight departure time for international flights and thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled flight departure time for domestic flights.
Check-in deadlines may vary at different airports and for particular flights. It is Passenger’s responsibility to ensure that he/she complies with these deadlines particulars of which will be available at the time of booking.

AirAsia Japan Co Ltd, ( AirAsia Japan) with flight code "DJ" which is the Japanese airline subsidiary of AirAsia Group is the second attempt by the LCC flights to enter the competitive Japanese market. On 01 Augustus 2012 the group's first iteration commenced and established as a joint venture with All Nippon Airways. ANA Holdings acquired AirAsia Group’s shareholding in the JV, creating Vanilla Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ANA In June 2013. The airline operated under the AirAsia brand until 31-Oct-2013. in 2015 AirAsia Group announced it will relaunch the Japanese brand and secured an AOC.
