Old Thatch Lodge is a 19th-century townhouse near De Hoop Nature Reserve in the historic town of Swellendam. It features a garden and a cosy lounge with an open fireplace.
The elegant bedrooms at Old Thatch are decorated with framed artwork and traditional wooden furniture. Every room has a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer.
The Lodge serves a full English breakfast in the lounge or under the thatched lapa hut. You can cook your own meals in the guest house kitchen, or have a traditional braai barbecue outside.
Guest can cycle in one of the nearby nature reserves, go rowing on the Breede River or try wine tasting in Robertson. Swellendam Golf Course is 3 km away, and it is a 1-hour drive to the Indian Ocean.
Old Thatch Lodge provides free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Free on-site car parking is also available.
