New Holgate is a stylish hotel concept featuring 12 beautifully styled en suite rooms, with sophisticated dining options and lounge areas, including a Whiskey Lounge.
Originally built in 1848, what was once a traditional townhouse now features raw elements and finishes amongst original features. Timeless details, vibrant colours and fabrics have also been added, to truly honour the story behind the guesthouse.
New Holgate is just a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre and less than a mile away from the medieval City Walls. York Minster is one mile from the property and Jorvik Viking Centre just a 15-minute walk away.
York Railway Station is also just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Please inform New Holgate in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
A damage deposit of GBP 100 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.
No group bookings are taken, unless prior arrangements have been made directly with the hotel management.
Check-in time indication is required on booking - the latest being 20:00 hours, unless prior arrangements are made for key entry.
Please note the property dining room has reduced capacity due to social distancing. Some rooms will be offered a tray service delivered to the rooms.
