Built in 1910 as a hunting resort of king Frederick Augustus III of Saxony, Hotel Saisera is near the border with Austria and Slovenia. It offers an elegant restaurant, a wellness area, and a large garden. Parking is free, and Tarvisio is 10 minutes' drive away.
Rooms at the Saisera are uniquely decorated, and feature classic furnishings with wooden floors. Each room includes a sofa and a private bathroom complete with hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
Renovated in 2011, the hotel boasts centuries-old frescoes and works of art of Johannes Napoleone Pellis. The property is complete with a gym and wellness area, featuring Finnish and infrared saunas. It also offers a 35000-m² park, with views of the Val Saisera valley.
Breakfast consists of both sweet and savoury food. The restaurant specialises in local and international dishes.
Hotel Saisera is 2 km from Valbruna Train Station. A shuttle service to/from the ski slopes and train station is free. The Tarvisio exit of the A23 Alpe Adria Motorway is a 5-minute drive away.
