El Sol Hotel

A few words about our hotel, we opened for the first time in 1990 as Raikos Hotel and it is situated on a hill between the capital of the island, Chora, the Ventian Castle and Kapsali Bay. We are 1.5 km from the town of Chora and 400 - 500m from the beach.of Kapsali. Since then, our services and facilities have been upgraded every year in order for our guests to enjoy their holidays. We have started the renovations of our hotel since 2021, and every year we complete parts of it with our vision to end 2026 with expansion as well. All rooms have air-conditioned units, private bathrooms and toilets, amenities, robes, slippers, TV, fridge, hangers for drying your bathingsuits, everyday cleaning, changing of towels when you want, kettle, room service, and a private balcony with a view to the sea or the capital with the castle. Breakfast is served at a buffet from 8:30 to 11:00 , the bar hours are 8:30 to 0:00. Our restaurant, with ISO Certifications, is open from 12:30 with the snack menu and from 14:30 to 23:00 with the main menu, also. The swimming pool is open from 8:00 to 20:00 with salt water. Swimming pool towels are given to you through our staff. Kythira airport is around 20 km, the port around 35 km, and the hospital around 25 km. Nightlife and other restaurants are 500m and 1.5m from the hotel. The closest beach is Kapsali, which is organized with cafes and restaurants 500 meters from the hotel.
