Just across the road from the beach, Hotel Continental offers well-appointed rooms around 10 minutes’ walk from Whitstable’s characterful town centre. With its own bar and bistro restaurant overlooking the Thames Estuary, this hotel provides free parking and Wi-Fi. Each guest room has a flat-screen TV with DVD player, wardrobe, desk and tea and coffee facilities, and some have sea views. All have an en suite bathroom with bath or shower and complimentary toiletries. A full English breakfast is served each morning. The bistro restaurant offers a continental-style menu with seafood specialities including Whitstable’s famous oysters, plus steaks, fish and homemade desserts. Locally brewed beers, coffee and fine wines are served in the bar. Hotel Continental is a 3-minute drive from Whitstable Train Station, with direct services to London and resorts on the east Kent coast. Whitstable is just 8 miles from Canterbury Cathedral, found in the centre of this historic city. The Eurostar terminal at Ashford International is 35-40 minutes’ drive from the hotel.
