Nääs Slott

Nääs Slott is a beautiful castle with an enthralling history and contains a complete and untouched 19th century interior. Visiting the castle is like stepping back in time to the late 1800s. Nääs lies peacefully by the lake Sävelången, 30 km from Gothenburg. The castle is a museum open for visitors with guided tours and wedding ceremony facilities. Accommodation at Nääs is divided in three of the historic buildings on the site. NOTE! In the room description for each room type, we have specified in which building the rooms are located. You can also see the property layout in our photo album for a clear view of where the buildings are located. - SOUTH WING – is located on the castle grounds and has a double room with private shower/WC. - NORTH WING - is located on the castle grounds and has four double/twin rooms. - BJÖRKENÄÄS – is located about 1 km from the castle in the craft seminar area and has four double/twin rooms, two family rooms and one single room. The guest rooms and shared lounge have traditional décor in turn-of-the-century style. Free WiFi in the buildings is included. Free on-site parking for one car per room is included. Houses, rooms, souvenir shop and the coffee shop offer refurbished original interiors and free WiFi in public areas. Guests can unwind with a stroll in the castle park. Nääs Beach is 200-1000 metres away depending on which house you stay in. Fishing and swimming are also possible in the surrounding area. Seasonal gifts and handcrafts can be bought in the castle shop Nääs Slottsbod next to the castle where also the reception and coffee shop / café is located. There is a handicraft and building preservation centre on site with shop, exhibitions and courses in handicraft, building maintenance and cultivating. In addition there is a craft art gallery with café and shop. Nääs Slott is only 3,5 km from the largest golf facility in Sweden, Öijared Golf, with three 18 wholes courses. Gothenburg with Liseberg, Ullevi, Scandinavium and the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Center is 30 km away and nearest airport is Gothenburg-Landvetter 25 km. Nearest train station are found in Floda, a 5-minute drive, or 3,5km walk, from Nääs Slott. Local buses for Floda stop 1,3 km away. Nearest supermarket is located in Floda. Shops and restaurants are found in Floda, in Tollered and at Öijared.
