Company Profile

Thai VietJet Air is an associate company of VietJet Air in Thailand, operating from its hub in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Currently, the airline flies to 12 destinations in 4 countries: India (Gaya - seasonal), Thailand (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Bangkok), Vietnam (Hai Phong, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Can Tho, Da Lat), and Taiwan (Taichung). The main office for Thai VietJet Air is 100/519 Moo 2, Chaeng-Wattana Rd. Thungsonghong, Laksi, Bangkok, Thailand.

History

Thai VietJet Air is a subsidiary of VietJet Air in Thailand, and a joint venture between the Vietnamese carrier (49%) and the Kan Air president Somphong Sooksanguan (51%). However, the ownership was changed when Mr.Sooksanguan sold 40% of his stake to an anonymous investor, leaving him with 10% stake in Thai VietJet Air. The airline was established in 2014, receiving its Air Operator’s Certificate in November that year. Its inaugural flight was a charter flight from Bangkok to Gaya, followed by its routine flight from its hub in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Phuket International Airport.

Flight Attendant

The male and female cabin crew for Thai VietJet Air wear different type of uniforms. The male flight attendants wear a red top with brown checkered collar and black trousers, while the female flight attendants wear a set of military-inspired set of uniform. The female flight attendants wear a red shirt with brown checkered collar, a bow, and short pants in the same colour, complete with a brown checkered boat hat and red Mary Jane shoes.
