With capacity for only 12 guests, Palmlea Farms Lodge & Bures (Villas) offers an intimate atmosphere and is fully solar-powered. The Great Sea Reef is located just off the end of the resort’s pier. Each villa at Palmlea Lodge includes queen or king-size beds, a private bathroom and a large covered verandah with stunning views of the reef and lagoon. The Lodge Restaurant blends European and South Pacific flavours, using only fresh, local, organic ingredients. A 15-minute taxi from Matei (Taveuni Airport ) to the jetty; from there the boat will transfer you across the Somosomo Strait ( 20 minutes) to Sau Bay. Located on the east coast of Vanua Levu, off the island of Taveuni, and boasting a secluded oceanfront location, Sau Bay Fiji Retreat sits on 100 acres of virgin rainforest overlooking a bay. The resort offers a variety of nature activities and water sports. Sau Bay Fiji Retreat is less than 10 minutes by boat from Rainbow Reef, a world-renowned diving spot. The resort can be reached via a one-hour flight from Nadi International Airport to the island of Taveuni. Guests may also fly into Savusavu airport,followed by a 1 hour taxi to the wharf and then 20 minute boat ride. Set in a private jungle, each cottage and well-appointed luxury tent has an attached bathroom with an indoor area and outdoor shower. Free on-site activities include sailing, kayaking, stand up paddle boards and snorkeling. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing massage, or go on a village tour. The resort has hiking trails leading to the property’s highest peak, 600 feet high. The restaurant serves local and international dishes, as well as a selection of Australian and New Zealand wines. Room service is available, and picnic lunches can be pre-ordered. A meal plan consisting of full breakfast, 2-course lunch with salad and a 3-course dinner can be purchased at the property, or a modified meal plan of a continental breakfast, 1-course lunch and 3-course dinner can be purchased.
