Tigerair Taiwan (IT) is a low cost carrier airline flying to international routes. Tigerair Taiwan (IATA Code: IT) is a low-cost carrier (LCC) airline based at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport. On December 16, 2013, when China Airlines Group celebrated its 54th anniversary, and the start of its 55th year, China Airlines chairman Sun Hung-Hsiang announced that the airline will enter the LCC market by investing in a joint venture with Singaporean airline group Tigerair Holdings to set up Tigerair Taiwan. As part of the deal, China Airlines held 80 percent of the share while Budget Aviation Holdings and Mandarin Airlines each held 10 percent. In 2017, as Tigerair Singapore merged into Scoot, CAPA reported that China Airlines had purchased Budget Aviation Holdings' 10% stake, leaving China Airlines and its subsidiary Mandarin Airlines as joint owners of the airline.

The standard seat size of the Tigerair Taiwan Economy Class fare is 31"-33" seat pitch and 17.8" seat width.

Tigerair Taiwan offers three types of seats that the passengers can choose from when they fly with this airline, there are: a. Tigercomfort This seats at Rows 1, 12, 13 are more spacious, offering added leg rooms to you. b. Tigerquicker This seats at Rows 2-4 facilitate you to promptly find your seats after boarding and leave the cabin promptly upon arrival at the destination. c. Tigerbuddy This seats at Rows 5-11, and Rows 14-30. All passengers are automatically allocated this seat. So, if you intend to be seated with your family or friend(s) or if you intend to be seated by window or by aisle, please be smart enough to choose standards seats and pick up your preferred seats. Three consecutive seats in the same row on the same side are only available to one passenger traveling with an infant. Passengers departing from Taoyuan International Airport will be able to check-in online using the Tigerair Taiwan official website 2.5~48 hours before their departure time. After checking in, passengers may proceed to collect their boarding passes and check in their luggage at the "checked in counter" to reduce the time spent queuing and to expedite the check-in process.

Airport Check-in

The airport counters are open for check-in process 2.5 hours prior to scheduled takeoff and are closed 45 minutes prior to scheduled takeoff. You should get to the boarding gate at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled takeoff. The boarding gate is closed 10 minutes before scheduled takeoff. A belated passenger shall be denied from boarding while his or her luggage shall be unshipped for which Tigerair Taiwan grants not any compensation.

Kiosk Check-in

Tigerair Taiwan let you use kiosk check-in services for the passengers, that may be accessed at the departure airport depending on the availability. For further information on this service, contact the airline customer service call center. The check in time is 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

App Check-in
