Introduction

Go First (G8) is a low cost carrier airline flying to domestic & international routes. The airline provides the passenger with a cabin baggage allowance of 7 kg and maximum dimension of 115 cm (L + W + H). The passengers flying international route with Go First will get free checked baggage allowance of 30 kg, while the domestic flight passengers is provided with 15 kg. The airline serves flights to destinations all over the world with its main hub located in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM). Go First Airlines (India) Ltd. is the owner of the trade name Go First. The company is lead by the CEO, Nusli Neville Wadia. The head office for the airline is located in India.

History

Go First operating with IATA (G8) and ICAO (GOW) was established in 2004. The airline runs under the management of Go First Airlines (India) Ltd.. During its period of development, Go First always tries its best to become one of the most favourable airlines in the future. This airline was first commenced on 04-11-2005. The first ever flight route was Mumbai (BOM) - Ahmedabad (AMD) using Airbus A320. Go First has been awarded "Best Domestic Airline For Excellence in Quality and Efficient Service" by Pacific Area Travel Writers Association in 2008, "Best Domestic Airline for On Time Performance" by Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA International Award) in 2011, "2018 Best Preferred Domestic Carrier by Hospitality India Award and has been accredited with a FOUR STAR Low-Cost Carrier rating for 2021 by APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association). The milestone that has been obtained by the airline is as of March 2020, the airline operates over 330 daily flights to 36 destinations, including 27 domestic and 9 international destinations, from its hubs at Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Kannur..

Cabin Baggage

Passengers of Go First are given a cabin baggage allowance included in their flight tickets fare. The max weight of the luggage is 7 kg, and the max dimension of the baggage put in the overhead cabin is 115 cm (L + W + H).

Checked Baggage

Go First provides free checked baggage allowance for the passengers. Passengers are allowed to bring up to 15 kg of luggage on domestic flights, and 30 kg on international flight.

Excess Baggage

Airport Check-in

Check-in counters for Go First opens 180 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. You are advised to check in at least one and a half hours before the check in and baggage drop counter at the airport closes.
